Coolant Temperature Level Sensor CH12541 is developed for the Perkins 2306, 2506 and 2806 series turbocharged diesel engines that evolved from the classic T4.236 and AT4.236 4.0 L platform. These engines continue to power agricultural tractors, combine harvesters, generator sets and industrial machinery worldwide, where a reliable coolant-level warning signal is essential for preventing overheating damage.

Technical specifications:

Thread 1/2-21 NPT, hex 22 mm, probe length 55 mm. The sensor incorporates a reed-switch and float mechanism that grounds a warning contact when the coolant level drops 25 mm below the radiator neck.

Material & performance features:

The housing is precision-cast from corrosion-resistant brass and nickel-plated for long-term compatibility with ethylene-glycol coolants. A high-density EPDM float rides on a stainless-steel guide shaft, ensuring consistent buoyancy even after prolonged exposure to temperature cycling. The reed switch is hermetically sealed in nitrogen and potted in epoxy, making it immune to vibration, moisture and electromagnetic interference.
