Application:
This sensor is designed for Perkins 403D-07, 403D-15, 403D-15T, 404D-22, 404D-22T, 404D-22TA and other 400 Series compact inline diesels, as well as the earlier 4.236 family (4.236, T4.236, AT4.236). In the field you will find it protecting engines that power small agricultural tractors (Massey Ferguson 4700-series, Landini Rex/Planet), combine harvesters (MF Activa/IDEAL), generator sets (FG Wilson P13.5-22 kVA, Pramac GBW), light construction equipment (JCB 3CX Eco, Manitou MLT 741-120 LSU), forklift trucks and mobile compressors. Its 1/8 NPT male thread and compact two-pin connector let it bolt directly into the oil gallery on the left-hand side of the block and feed a switched 0.8 ± 0.3 bar warning signal to the dash lamp or engine controller.
Technical specifications:
The switch is a normally-closed, grounding type that opens when oil pressure rises above 0.6–1.0 bar. Electrical rating 24 V / 5 A resistive, contact resistance < 100 mΩ, insulation resistance > 10 MΩ at 500 V DC.
Material & performance features:
Diaphragm and housing resist engine oil, biodiesel blends and anti-freeze; zinc-nickel plating gives 240 h salt-spray corrosion resistance. Contact bridge is silver-nickel 90/10 for low heat rise and long cycle life.
