Application:
The CH11620 thermostat is calibrated for the 4.0-litre Perkins T4.236 and AT4.236 turbocharged diesels that sit at the heart of thousands of agricultural tractors (Massey Ferguson 390, 398, 699, Landini Legend 130), combine harvesters (MF 30, 40, Cebis 550), gensets (FG Wilson P27-5 to P55-5, Pramac GBW45), telehandlers (JCB 525-58), back-hoe loaders (JCB 3CX/4CX) and small marine auxiliaries. It bolts into the cast-aluminium outlet elbow on the cylinder-head coolant gallery and begins to open at 82 °C, giving full lift at 95 °C so the engine stays inside the 85-95 °C envelope needed for minimum fuel consumption and maximum oil life on these long-stroke four-cylinders.

Material & performance features:
The valve disc is machined from high-purity CuZn39Pb3 brass for rapid heat transfer and corrosion resistance in glycol-based coolants. A PTFE-impregnated silicone seal prevents seepage when the valve is closed yet remains flexible after 2 000 h at 120 °C.
