Application:

The intake valve T423393 is a direct-fit replacement for Perkins 1106A-E66/70, 1106C-E66/70, 1106D-E66/70 and 1106D-E70TA engines, so it is found in everything from 80-250 kVA generator sets (Jubaili Bros JP88-200, FG Wilson P110-3, Atlas Copco QAS 200) to medium-duty farm tractors, combine harvesters, grape harvesters and material-handling forklifts that use the 6.6-7.0 L six-cylinder. The same valve is also catalogued for Caterpillar C7.1, C6.6 and 320D2 excavators as well as late DT466E/DT530E Navistar builds, making it a common service item across construction, agriculture and power-generation fleets.

Material & performance features:

Forged from a low-carbon 21-4N austenitic alloy containing 21 % Cr, 4 % Ni, 9 % Mn and 0.45 % N, the valve is then solution-treated at 1150 °C and age-hardened to give a room-temperature hardness of 28-32 HRC that climbs to 38 HRC at 700 °C, ensuring high creep strength under continuous full-load operation. The head is friction-welded to the stem to eliminate porosity, and the entire seat face is stellite-faced to 1.2 mm depth, providing a 950 HV wear layer that resists low-sulphur diesel and biodiesel attack.
