Application:
3681A032 is a rocker-cover (valve-cover) gasket moulded for Perkins 1004-4, 1004-4T, 1004-40T and 1104C-44/1104D-44 4-cylinder 4.4 L diesels, covering the earlier T4.236 and AT4.236 4.0 L turbo engines still in service. Typical host machines are Massey Ferguson 240/260/270/5425/5435 tractors, JCB 3CX/4CX back-hoe loaders, Manitou MLT tele-handlers, Terex site dumpers, Landini Legend/Atlantis ranges plus FG-Wilson and 60–120 kVA generator sets. Because the gasket groove and bolt spacing are dimensionally identical to legacy 4.236 rocker covers, the same 3681A032 part is used as a single service solution across forty years of 4-cylinder Perkins production.
Technical specifications:
Moulded silicone MVQ sheet 1.5 mm thick, overall length 440 mm, width 38 mm, seven 6.5 mm bolt holes on 45 mm centres, two 8 mm plug-tube collars, one 20 mm semi-circular oil-return collar. Operating temperature – 40 °C to +200 °C, compression set < 15 % after 70 h at 175 °C, tensile strength ≥ 6 MPa, elongation ≥ 200 %.
Material & performance features:
High-purity MVQ silicone is oil-, fuel- and biodiesel-resistant, passing ASTM D471 168 h immersion with < 3 % volume swell. The mould is flash-trimmed to ±0.1 mm tolerance, eliminating nip leaks and allowing immediate assembly without re-torque.
