3313A012 - Intake Valve Guide
Designed for Perkins 1004-40T, 1004-42, 1103, 1104C-44TA, 1106C-E60TA diesel engines (4-cylinder and 6-cylinder configurations). Provides precision alignment and controlled lubrication for intake valves in moderate-duty diesel applications. Each four-cylinder engine requires 4 intake guides; each six-cylinder engine requires 6 intake guides. Commonly deployed in Massey Ferguson 3000 and 4000 series tractors, JCB telehandlers and backhoe loaders, Cater C4.4 industrial engines, and FG Wilson generator sets.
3318A705 - Exhaust Valve Guide
Engineered for higher temperature operation with exhaust valves in Perkins 1006.6, 1006.6T, 1104C-44TA, 1106C-E60TA diesel engines. Each four-cylinder engine requires 4 exhaust guides; each six-cylinder engine requires 6 exhaust guides. Used in the same equipment families as 3313A012 but specifically for exhaust valve positions.

Material & Performance Features
Both guides are manufactured from 16MnCr5 case-hardening steel (European standard alloy steel) or sintered iron alloy depending on supplier. The material provides 900-1,100 MPa tensile strength and excellent wear resistance for continuous valve stem movement at engine speeds up to 2,200 rpm.
The intake guide receives case-hardening treatment to achieve 55-60 HRC at the outer surface for wear resistance in the cylinder head bore, while maintaining a ductile core (28-32 HRC) to resist fracture. The inner bore is precision-honed after installation to achieve cross-hatch pattern at 45-60° angle with 0.0002-0.0004 inch depth, ensuring optimal oil retention and controlled lubrication.
