Application The WESPC 2674A397 turbocharger is built for Perkins 4.236 and 4.236T 4.0 L naturally-aspirated/turbo diesels and the equivalent CAT 426B, 426C, 428, 428B back-hoe loaders.These engines are widely used in 60–120 kVA generator sets (FG Wilson P44-5 → P66-5), Massey-Ferguson 300-series tractors, Claas combine belt drives and 4.0 L industrial pumps—one turbo covers agricultural, construction and power-generation fleets worldwide.

Material & performance features Turbine housing cast from Ni-Resist ductile iron for 750 °C fatigue strength; compressor wheel milled from 7075-T6 aluminium,hard-anodised to 50 HV for salt-spray resistance; shaft is 42CrMo vacuum-nitrided to 900 HV, running on brass floating-bush bearings with 0.12 mm oil film for >8 000 h service before rebuild; water-cooled centre housing eliminates oil coking during hot-shutdown, keeping oil temperature <120 °C at 45 °C ambient; every unit is spin-balanced to <0.5 g-mm, giving <72 dB(A) noise and zero shaft vibration throughout the 1 400–2 200 rpm engine speed range.
