Application:
T401137 is the exhaust valve for Perkins 1106C/1106D six-cylinder 6.0 L diesels found in JCB 3CX/4CX back-hoe loaders, JCB 535-95/540-170 telescopic handlers, Manitou MT 1440 telehandlers, Terex TLB 840, Massey Ferguson 7480, McCormick MTX and Landini Legend tractors, plus 120–200 kVA generator sets and compact wheel loaders. The identical valve also fits earlier 1006.6 engines, giving one service solution for more than twenty years of 6-cylinder Perkins production.
Technical specifications:
Monobloc forging in 21-4N austenitic steel, head diameter 38.0 mm, stem 8.0 mm, overall length 162 mm. Seat face is stellite-6 PTA-overlay 2.0 mm wide at 45°; stem tip induction-hardened to 52 HRC 4 mm deep. A 1.0 mm chromium-plated guide band, 25 mm long, gives 0.04–0.07 mm running clearance in the cast-iron guide at 90 °C.
Material & performance features:
21-4N retains 620 MPa tensile strength at 850 °C, surviving continuous 820 °C exhaust peaks during DPF regeneration without micro-welding. Stellite overlay limits seat recession to 0.025 mm per 1000 h on high-biodiesel fuels; chrome-plated guide band reduces stem wear to 0.4 µm per 1000 h, doubling overhaul intervals to 12 000 h.
