Application:
The 9320A143T and 2644H201PR high-pressure rotary distributor pumps are engineered for the latest Perkins 1103D-33, 1103D-33T, 1104D-44 and 1104D-44T electronically governed engines (3.3 L and 4.4 L, 3- and 4-cylinder) that power Massey Ferguson 4700 Global Series tractors, Landini Rex 4 F/GE and 5 Series orchard tractors, JCB 407ZX wheeled loaders and 527-58 Loadall telehandlers, as well as FG Wilson P13.5-6 and Pramac GSW65P sound-attenuated generator sets. These engines deliver 60 kW to 85 kW at 2 200 r/min while meeting EU Stage IIIA/EPA Tier 3 emission limits using mechanical fuel systems only, making the pump critical for precise injection timing and smoke-free load acceptance.
Technical specifications:
The pump body is a high-strength, close-grain cast-iron monobloc with integral cam ring, distributor head and electronic fuel-stop solenoid boss, centre-line mounting flange to SAE J744 size 2, pilot Ø101.6 mm, four M10 threaded holes on 146 mm PCD. Plunger diameter is 10 mm with 9.2 mm stroke producing injection pressures up to 1 600 bar; internal positive-displacement vane feed pump delivers 150 L/h at 450 kPa. A hydraulically actuated automatic advance piston provides 7° crank-angle advance from 1 000 r/min to 2 400 r/min. Drive hub accepts 13 mm Woodruff key and is dynamically balanced to ISO 1940 Grade G2.5. Static timing is 10° BTDC ± 1°; timing adjustment range is ± 3° via eccentric cam ring. All external seals are FKM (Viton) compound rated for continuous operation with biodiesel blends up to B20 and arctic-grade diesel to −40 °C.
Material & performance features:
The plunger and distributor rotor are machined from vacuum-degassed 20MnCr5 alloy steel, case-hardened to 0.8 mm effective depth and super-finished to 0.2 µm Ra for minimal leakage and long-term metering accuracy. Cam-ring lobes are induction-hardened to 58–62 HRC, while roller tappets receive a tungsten-carbide PVD coating to resist scuffing under high transient loads. A lightweight aluminium governor sleeve with PTFE-impregnated bore eliminates stick-slip and ensures rapid idle recovery. The pump head is sealed by a laser-welded steel cap to prevent internal pressure loss, and the electromagnetic shut-off valve is encapsulated in glass-fiber-reinforced nylon rated IP67 for dust and moisture protection. A torsional vibration damper integral to the drive hub limits peak twist to <0.15°, reducing gear-train noise and extending engine life.
