The 131010080 inline high-pressure injection pump is calibrated for the mechanical-injection Perkins 1004-4T and 1004-4TW turbo-diesel engines (4.0 L, 4-cylinder) that power Massey Ferguson 6400-series and 8200-series tractors, Landini Legend 115/130/145 row-crop and vineyard machines, JCB 4CX super backhoe loaders and 535-95/540-70 telescopic handlers, plus FG Wilson P27-6 and Pramac GSW100P enclosed generator sets. These engines produce 85–112 kW at 2 200 r/min and meet EU Stage II/EPA Tier 2 emission limits, so the pump must deliver precise fueling for full-load torque rise, rapid transient response and reliable cold-start performance across agricultural, construction and standby-power applications.


Technical specifications:

The pump body is a forged-steel, one-piece inline housing with integral camshaft bore Ø42 mm and side-mounted mechanical governor, flange-mounted to SAE J744 size 3 with four M12 threaded holes on 152 mm PCD. Plunger diameter is 12 mm with 11 mm stroke, generating peak injection pressures up to 1 750 bar. An integrated duplex feed pump supplies 200 L/h at 550 kPa; the centrifugal automatic advance mechanism provides 9° crankshaft advance from 800 to 2 400 r/min. Drive hub accepts 15 mm Woodruff key and is dynamically balanced to ISO 1940 Grade G2.5. Static timing is 11° BTDC ± 1° with ± 3° fine adjustment via vernier coupling. All gaskets and O-rings are FKM (Viton) compound for compatibility with biodiesel blends up to B20 and ultra-low-sulphur winter diesel to −45 °C.


Material & performance features:

Each plunger and barrel assembly is machined from vacuum-remelted 18CrNiMo7-6 alloy steel, carburised to 1.1 mm effective case depth and super-finished to 0.12 µm Ra for minimal leakage and outstanding durability under cyclic 1 750 bar loading. Camshaft lobes are induction-hardened to 62–66 HRC, while roller tappets receive a tungsten-carbide PVD coating that reduces boundary friction by 35 % and extends fatigue life. A lightweight aluminium governor flyweight carrier with bronze bushings and PTFE-impregnated thrust faces ensures stable idle speed and load response within 1.5 % of set point. High-pressure steel galleries are laser-welded and cold-rolled to eliminate micro-cracks, and the mechanical overspeed fuel shut-off is housed in a glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide cover rated IP67 for dust and moisture protection. An integral viscous torsional vibration damper limits peak twist to <0.10°, protecting both pump and engine gear-train from resonance wear and noise.
