WESPC T3324E003 Intake Valve Seat
Precision-machined intake valve seat insert providing reliable sealing for engine air intake systems in Perkins T4.236 and AT4.236 diesel engines.
Application & Compatibility
Designed for Perkins T4.236 and AT4.236 naturally-aspirated and turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engines (4.0 L displacement). These engines power a wide range of industrial equipment requiring dependable mid-range power and durability.
Agricultural Tractors
Compatible with Massey Ferguson models 265, 275, 290, 390T, and 398 equipped with T4.236 series cylinder heads. Also specified for Landini 10000 Series tractors (10000, 11000, 12500) and Fiat 640 platform tractors.
Combine Harvesters
Service replacement for Massey Ferguson 750, 760, and 850 rotary combines using Perkins T4.236 engines. Also used in White 8600 Series combines with the same power plant during cylinder-head overhaul.
Generator Sets
Specified for FG Wilson P22-4, P27-4, and P33-4 diesel generator sets. Compatible with KOHLER 40REZGB and Fairbanks Morse 30-40 kW continuous-duty gen-sets sharing the same cylinder head configuration.
Industrial Machinery
Used in stationary irrigation pumps, mobile air compressors, hydraulic power units, and JCB/Manitou forklifts powered by Perkins T4.236 engines. Recommended when valve seat wear exceeds 0.05 mm interference or compression loss is detected.

Material & Performance Features
Material Composition: Sintered martensitic tool steel alloyed with 18% chromium, 1.2% molybdenum, and 0.4% vanadium for exceptional hot hardness and corrosion resistance.
Heat Treatment: Vacuum-sintering at 1,200°C followed by oil-quench and double temper at 580°C, achieving 45-48 HRC hardness at the seating surface.
Surface Enhancement: Controlled nitriding creates a 0.15 mm diffusion layer with 900 HV surface hardness, significantly improving resistance to valve micro-welding and seat recession.
Precision Machining: CNC multi-angle machining delivers Ra 0.4 µm surface finish on the valve seat face, ensuring immediate conformation and long-term gas-tight sealing.
Compatibility: Works with both standard cast-iron valves and modern Stellite-faced exhaust valves without additional machining.
